FC Scores (“we”, “the app”) provides youth club soccer scores, standings, and schedules at fcscores.app. This policy describes what information we process when you use the website, progressive web app (PWA), and the FC Scores iOS and Android apps. Where a practice applies only to the website (not the native store apps), it is labelled Website only.

Information we process

  • League data. Scores, standings, schedules, club and team names come from public league sources. We do not sell that sports data as a personal-data product.
  • Anonymous device id (native apps). The iOS and Android apps create a random install id in secure on-device storage (not your name or Apple / Google account). That id is sent as an X-Device-Id header so we can count one community pick per match per install, register the device for Pro score alerts, sync favorite alert subscriptions, and rate-limit problem reports.
  • Community picks. When you pick home / draw / away on a match, we store that pick on our servers with the anonymous device id. No Sign in with Apple or FC Scores account is required.
  • Favorites and Pro alerts (native apps). Favorites you star (team and division ids) are stored on the device for everyone. On Pro (and Club) installs we also upload those ids to our servers for favorite score alerts (/api/v1/alerts/subscriptions), and we register the device (/api/v1/devices/register) with Pro status and, when you grant notification permission, an Expo push token for lock-screen alerts. Free installs keep favorites on-device only and clear any server watch list.
  • Problem reports. From More → Report (native) or equivalent website forms, you may send a category, message, and optional email. We also store the anonymous device id (when present), app version, and platform (iOS / Android / web) so we can investigate and reply. Reports go to our operators only — not to other users.
  • Store purchases. If you buy FC Scores Pro or Club, Apple or Google process the payment. We receive entitlement status (subscribed or not) via the store and RevenueCat — not your full card number. Restore uses your Apple or Google account, not an FC Scores login.
  • Local device storage. The website, PWA, and native apps may store preferences on your device (favorites, season, tips dismissed, anonymous device id, local entitlement cache). Preferenced data stays on the device except where this policy says we sync picks, Pro alert subscriptions, device registration, or problem reports to our servers.
  • Website only — usage insights. The website / PWA records anonymous product metrics (InsightsBeacon): page paths viewed, coarse device / OS / browser class from the user agent, home-screen install (standalone) mode, and install-prompt outcomes when the browser provides them. Events use a temporary random session id in the browser (not an account). We do not store raw IP addresses in these insight records. Metrics are kept for a limited period for operator dashboards and then removed. The native iOS / Android apps do not send InsightsBeacon.
  • Website only — match social. Sign in with Apple, usernames, emoji reactions, short comments, and Giphy GIFs exist on the website when enabled. They are not part of the native store apps.
  • Technical logs. Our hosting provider may record standard server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps, requested URLs) for security and reliability.
  • Admin access. The password-protected admin tools are for operators only and are not part of the public consumer experience.

What we do not collect today

We do not collect precise location or contacts, and we do not read your photo library. On iOS, choosing Save Image from a rankings or club weekend share sheet may write that PNG into Photos (add-only permission). The native apps do not use Sign in with Apple and do not offer comments, reactions, or GIFs. Payments for Pro / Club go through Apple or Google, not through us. We do not sell personal information. We do not use the data described above for third-party advertising or tracking across other companies’ apps and websites.

Children

FC Scores is intended for parents, coaches, and players viewing public youth soccer results. We do not knowingly create accounts for children under 13. Competitive content may include player names as published by leagues; that content is sourced from those leagues, not from in-app registration.

Third parties

Data is pulled from public league APIs and sites (including MLS NEXT, ECNL / AthleteOne, Elite Academy, GotSport for NAL and Girls Academy). The website may load fonts from Google Fonts. Hosting/DNS providers (for example, our VPS and Cloudflare if enabled) process connection metadata. App Store / Google Play and RevenueCat process purchase receipts and entitlements. Optional push delivery uses Expo’s push service with the token you grant. Map buttons open Apple Maps or Google Maps. Website-only Giphy requests (when comments/GIFs are enabled on the site) go to Giphy.
